Preparation & Assembly Setup
When ordering, you can watch the vendor assemble the panipuri right in front of you at the prep counter.

Understanding Components & How to Eat
For first-timers, this snack feels like a totally new culinary experience. I asked the vendor about the ingredients and how to properly eat it:
- Puri (Crispy Hollow Shell): Deep-fried wheat flour balls that puff up crunchy and hollow.
- Filling: A mix of soft mashed potatoes, diced onions, and a sprinkle of crunchy Indian noodles (sev).
- Pani Broth: A fresh, cold green herbal broth (Pudina Pani) handmade by the vendor using fresh mint leaves, coriander, tamarind, and aromatic spices.
How to eat: poke a hole on top of the crispy hollow ball using your thumb, stuff it with potato, onion, & crunchy noodles, then pour the fresh herbal pani broth until full. Right after, pop the entire ball into your mouth in a single bite! When you bite down, the chilled herbal broth explodes inside your mouth.

Fajar’s Honest Review
Here is my honest take after trying this panipuri:
- Taste Experience: It is a brand new flavor profile for my palate. The crispy crunchy texture paired with onions, soft potato, crunchy noodle bits, combined with tangy, sweet, cold mint herbal water.
- Recommendation:
- For picky eaters, it might be an acquired taste.
- But if you are curious to try authentic Indian street food, RM 10 for 10 pieces is decent and well spent.
- Repeat Order?: Maybe no. At the RM 10 price point, personally there are plenty of other food options in KL that are more worth it for my palate. But for a first-time tasting experience, it was great!
