On January 25th, we took a nice little road trip to Bentong in Pahang. If you ever find yourself wandering around this area, there’s a super cute spot called Momota Pet Cafe that is definitely worth a visit.
The Climb to the 3rd Floor
The cafe is located on the 3rd floor, so you have to climb a set of stairs. But the fun part starts before you even step inside—the staircase is decorated with cute pet murals that immediately put a smile on your face.
The staircase itself feels like a mini adventure. Each step is painted with fun phrases like “Wang Wang”, “I ♥ Meow”, and little paw prints guiding you up. There’s even a mini doghouse decoration on the landing!
The Enthusiastic Welcome
The moment you open the door, the welcome is instant. The dogs literally come running up to greet you! The vibes inside are everything you’d hope for from a pet cafe—cozy, warm, and genuinely welcoming.
The Food Story & A Heartwarming Owner
The five of us decided to order Bingsu to share (two large bowls for the group).
To be completely honest—I initially wasn’t planning on ordering or eating anything. As a Muslim, I’m usually careful, and since this cafe serves non-halal items for general customers, I was fully prepared to just sit back and watch my friends enjoy their dessert.
But the owner was incredibly observant and kind. When he realized my situation, he actually went out of his way to buy brand new spoons and utensils just for me so I could join in! He also explained that the Bingsu station and dishwashing area are completely separate from non-halal items.
So, with brand new spoons in hand (and a quick prayer just in case!), I felt completely safe to dig in. It’s rare to encounter a cafe owner so thoughtful and accommodating!
Vibrant Interior & Shin-chan Collectibles
The interior decoration is just as lively as the dogs. The floor features cute animal stickers with uplifting quotes like “Full of Positive Energy Everyday!”.
Over by the cashier counter, the area is packed with an awesome collection of Crayon Shin-chan memorabilia! Figures, statues, and all sorts of fun collectibles.
Wall of Champion Medals
On another wall, you’ll spot rows of photos and shiny medals. Turns out the pets here aren’t just cute—they’re award-winning champions who frequently win titles in various pet competitions!
Final Verdict
Overall, I’m giving this place a solid 4.9 out of 5. The combination of enthusiastic dog greetings, cozy ambiance, and an exceptionally thoughtful owner made this trip unforgettable.
