A cozy pet cafe in Bentong, Pahang with the friendliest dogs, wall-to-wall decorations, and an incredibly accommodating owner. Worth the trip!
Restaurant Info
3rd Floor, Bentong Town, Pahang
On the 25th of January, we made a trip out to Bentong in Pahang. If you’re in the area, there is a spot called Momota Pet Cafe that is definitely worth a visit.
Getting There
It’s located on the 3rd floor, so you have to head up a bit of a climb to get there. But the experience starts before you even enter—the staircase itself is covered in unique murals featuring all sorts of pets, which sets the mood perfectly.

The staircase is an adventure in itself. Each step is painted with cute messages like “Wang Wang” (dog sounds in Chinese), “I ♥ Meow”, and paw prints leading you up. There’s even a little dog house decoration at the landing!

The Welcome Committee
Once you open the door, the welcome is immediate. Their dogs actually come running over to greet you! The vibe inside is exactly what you’d want from a pet cafe—cozy, warm, and very welcoming.

The Food (and a Very Nice Owner)
We decided to order some Bingsu to share (two bowls for the five of us).
I’ll be honest here—I wasn’t actually planning to order anything at first. As a Muslim, I’m always careful, and since this cafe serves pork, I was ready to just sit back and watch my friends eat.
But the owner was incredibly humble and nice about it. When he realized the situation, he actually went out and bought brand new utensils just for me so I could join in! He explained that the Bingsu station is separate and the washing area for it is also separate from the non-halal items.
A Thoughtful Owner
So, with the new spoon in hand (and a quick prayer to the merciful one above, just in case!), I felt safe enough to dig in. It’s rare to find such accommodating owners!

The Decor
The interior is just as fun as the animals. The floor has adorable pet stickers with messages like “Full of Positive Energy Everyday”!

If you look over at the cashier counter, it is absolutely decked out in Crayon Shin-chan decorations. There are figurines, statues, and all sorts of collectibles.

Wall of Fame
The walls are also covered in photos and medals. It turns out their pets are quite the champions—there are rows of awards from various contests they’ve won over the years.

The Verdict
Overall, I’d give this place a 4.9/5. Between the enthusiastic dog welcome, the cozy atmosphere, and the owner going above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, it’s highly recommended.
